A charming wonderful place right in the middle of a wood; an old country estate built in the eighteenth century, today finely renovated, but in a style that still recalls the warm reception of olden times, with a swimming pool with an astonishing view onto the valley.
There are five rooms available for its guests, each one with a name taken from English novels such as: ”A room with a view”, “Jane Eyre”, “Wuthering Heights”, “Barry Lindon”, “Mansfield Park”; each has a private bathroom, a bed with tester and classic furniture; moreover, you will find a small book shelf.
At dinner time, you can enjoy the attention for details and caring attitude of the owners in the elegant table laying, the musical menu that accompanies food and beverages menus. Meals are personally cooked by the owners, who make a large use of organic products, as well as typical local production and home-made pasta, pastry, jams, cakes and biscuits, up to the final small glass of liqueur.

Activities:
pottery courses can be organized together with a much appreciated art school of Deruta during every season of the year, addressed to both basic and advanced level students.
The surrounding areas offer opportunities to play golf and tennis, ride horses, shop in a number of farm points of sale (including shoes and cashmere items) and follow gastronomic tours.

Hotel Villa Ciconia

This elegant Villa, surrounded by a beautiful park with age-old trees, which dates back to the 16th century, is situated in Umbria, in the surroundings of Orvieto, one of the most picturesque towns in Italy. The villa construction dates back to an enlargement of a tower, named " La Turchinetta " ordered by Vincenzo Butius to Ippolito Scalza. The Villa, designed according to a rectangular plan, was realised in such a way that a deviation of the Carcaione torrent would get under one of the three arches that were sustaining it.
Villa Ciconia is now a charming Hotel which combines modern comforts with ancient features and atmosphere: thick walls, large beams, terracotta floors.
The Villa has 12 double rooms, all equipped with bathroom/shower (some rooms have whirlpool tub ), hair-dryer, air-conditioning and central heating, direct phone, Sat TV, bar, each with beautiful view of the park. Clients can enjoy the swimming pool beautifully located in the middle of the large park.
The Restaurant, on the ground floor, has two large dining-rooms and in the main one can be admired a stone fireplace attributed to Ippolito Scalza; it offers high gastronomy dishes, but also the typical Umbrian cuisine, always prepared with high-quality products. The wine list includes great wines, especially Orvieto's top ones.
About 1000 meters away from the Hotel there is the possibility to benefit from a public sport center well equipped with Olympic swimming pool and illuminated tennis courts in red ground, covered and open air.
Horseback riding is also possible in the green Umbrian countryside with an instructor of the Orvieto Horse Circle, which is only 5 Km. away from the Villa.

Locanda Rosati

The Locanda Rosati is a typical stone country house located only a few kilometres from the magic city of Orvieto along the panoramic road towards lake Bolsena, which offers magnificent views of the city. The Locanda is a warm and friendly heaven at the end of a long day spent wandering around Mediaeval towns.
The owners' main concern is how to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, the house itself is furnished so as to make you feel at home; the ground floor has an intimate reading or music room as well as a large informal space for casual encounters and conversation.
The guest rooms are simply but elegantly furnished; it's easy to remember which room is yours, for all are metaphorically inhabited by local creatures - hare, dog, badger, dormouse, raccoon, cat and frog - shown (in wood) above the door.
The quality cuisine reflects the origin of your hosts and keeps faith with the finest tradition of the Umbrian and Tuscan countryside.
Appetizing home-made pasta dishes and thick soups with cold pressed extra-virgin olive oil, as well as Tuscan ribollita (vegetable and bread soup), prepared by Alba with produce and herbs from the locanda garden, appear on the table every day.
Unbelievably savoury roasts, fragrant bread and pizza all come out of the traditional wood-burning brick oven.
The surrounding countryside is unbelievably beautiful all year round: in autumn and winter time what could be nicer than sitting around the fire, sipping a glass of fine local wine, after a hike through the woods and fields, while in summer you can wind down in the park with a dip in the swimming pool reserved for guests framed by olive trees and, in the distance, grottoes and caves.

Agriturismo Il Mulinaccino

"Il Mulinaccino" is a family-run farmhouse, 17 hectares wide, located between the characteristic Medieval towns of Fabro and Allerona, at about 300 mt of altitude, in a charmful natural landscape near the border of Tuscany.
From the farm you can also easily reach the Villalba Parc and the Natural Reserve of Rufeno Mountain, a protected area about 3000 hectares wide, where you can have guided trekking , bike-rides, horse-rides and visit the Flower Museum.
The 5 different apartments are comfortable places of residence to spend pleasant, relaxing days; they all have a fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, bath with shower, one or two bedrooms, TV, sofa bed.
The wide garden and the surrounding countryside will allow you to discover the pleasure of a full immersion in the nature; if you love sporting activity, you can enjoy the swimming-pool and mountain-bikes, or to simply stroll around the nearby wood.
